Pharma field reps

Verified doctor and chemist calls for field reps

Your representatives have no office to report to and a daily call report they fill in themselves. Trackrr replaces the self-declared DCR with visits that carry a location and a timestamp.

Short answer

Pharmaceutical companies use Trackrr to verify that medical representatives actually visited the doctors and chemists on their daily call report. Each call is a check-in with a selfie, GPS coordinates and an automatic timestamp.

Because travel expenses are usually reimbursed against reported calls, verified visits also put expense claims on a factual footing rather than an honour system.

What goes wrong without it

Every industry has its own version of the attendance problem. In pharma field reps, it usually looks like this.

Daily call reports written from home

The DCR is filled in at the end of the day, or the end of the week, from memory or imagination. It is the primary performance record and it is self-declared.

Tour plan adherence nobody checks

A rep is assigned a territory and a monthly tour plan. Whether they followed it is essentially unverifiable at scale.

Expense claims tied to unverified travel

Conveyance is reimbursed against visits that may or may not have happened, in a category where the amounts add up quickly across a large field force.

How Trackrr works for pharma field reps

Calls verified at the doctor's location

Each call is a check-in at the clinic, hospital or chemist, with coordinates recorded. The DCR builds itself from visits that happened.

Tour plan versus actual

Assign the planned route and compare it against where the rep actually went. Deviations are visible in the same week, not at quarter end.

Real call averages per rep

Calls per day per representative, measured consistently across the field force, which makes territory and performance comparisons meaningful.

Expense claims backed by visits

Conveyance claims can be checked against a verified visit list for the period, which usually changes claiming behaviour on its own.

FAQ

Pharma field reps questions

Some will, and it is worth handling directly. Trackrr records location only at check-in and check-out, not continuously through the day, and reps can see exactly what was recorded about them. Teams that explain this upfront generally see adoption settle within a week or two.

Yes. The check-in proves they travelled to the clinic; the call is marked as doctor-unavailable. That is useful data rather than a gap.

Visit types are configurable, so chemist, stockist and doctor calls report separately while using the same check-in flow.

For the visit-recording part, usually yes. If your DCR also captures product detailing and sample distribution, most companies keep that system and use the Trackrr export to reconcile reported calls against verified visits.
